I started piano music in 1989 under the guidence of Mrs. S.Y. Palipana. I did my first examination in 1991 and completed Grade VII in 1998. I could not complete Grade VIII due to my Advanced Level Examination. I received certificate for obtaining 100 marks in Grade III Theory Examination at the Awards Ceremony organized by the Department of Examinations of Sri Lanka on 4 ^th May 1995.

Chamber Music and Symphony No.40 in G Minor by Mozart, Fidelio by Beethoven, and the Surprise Symphony by Haydn, are some of my favourite western compositions of the classical period. Among the romantic and modern period compositions, The Minute Waltz by Chopin, Wedding March (Midsummer Night's Dream) by Mendelssohn, The Traut Quintet by Shubert and The Rapsody in Blued by Gershwin are my best selections.
